Alpine Power Systems' experienced technical support & sales team is here to assist your needs:

ATEX is an abbreviation for "ATmosphere EXplosible". The ATEX directives describe a binding catalogue of measures to either prevent the formation of an explosive atmosphere (which is not always possible with special systems due to operational reasons) or, if such an atmosphere has formed, to avoid the necessary ignition energy.

ATEX enclosed BACS is designed to manage batteries within these zones!

Easy installation

In principle, all you need are some basic tools like a screwdriver, a wrench and, if necessary, some crimping tools and cutter to carry out a complex ATEX - protected BACS installation*.

Well-Known Configuration Interface

Unlike other vendors, the GENEREX BACS is designed as an intuitive and flexible long-term configuration interface with well-known elements. Once you are familiar with one GENEREX product, you are capable to configure a BACS ATEX- System*, too!

Powerful Remote Monitoring

Essential for ATEX Environments: You need to carry out configuration and monitoring work, but you are not allowed to enter the ATEX zone because of explosive atmospheric conditions - BACS will allow you to carry out most of the monitoring and observation work at any time from a well-protected place.

Maximum Protection
With ATEX BACS, a battery driven emergency power solution can now be operated with ATEX Zone 1 / 21 and 2 /22. BACS will not only protect your batteries, it will also the most capable management system on the market to prevent thermal runaways - A significant advantage when batteries must be installed within an ATEX environment.
