Carney Battery Handling Ltd was formed in 1984 after identifying the need for a safe, reliable and cost-effective way to manage battery changes in materials handling equipment given the rapid growth of large multiple-shift operations at the time. In 1990, Carney was the first to develop an effective and efficient man-aboard hydraulic changer for roll-out batteries with our Battery Bull range that removed all manual handling of the batteries and slashed battery change times. Today, Carney Battery Handling operates from their modern 60,000 sq. ft. manufacturing and distribution center in Brampton, Ontario that houses their design center, fabrication and assembly, paint & powder coating shop as well as pre-delivery test facilities.
